Connect your MCP client
Add a remote Streamable HTTP server using https://iqinsight.io/mcp. Configuration syntax varies by client; the example below is a typical remote-server entry.
{
"mcpServers": {
"iqinsight": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://iqinsight.io/mcp"
}
}
}The service is stateless. Clients can negotiate the current protocol or use the 2025 initialize → tools/list → tools/call flow. No session cookie is issued. A browser GET is not a tool call and returns 405.
Calculate an IQ percentile
calculate_iq_percentile accepts one whole-number score from 55 to 160. It returns the theoretical cumulative percentile, the percentage at or above the score, the difference from 100, assumptions and a source link.
{ "name": "calculate_iq_percentile", "arguments": { "score": 115 } }Try asking: “What percentile corresponds to an IQ score of 115 on a 100/15 reference curve?” The result is approximately 84.13%, with 15.87% at or above it. Try the same calculation on the website.
Understand a score’s limits
explain_iq_score accepts the same input range and returns a reference band, published explanation, limitations and real source URLs. If no dedicated guide exists for a number, the source points to the existing score overview.
{ "name": "explain_iq_score", "arguments": { "score": 125 } }Try asking: “What does a score of 125 mean, and what can’t an online IQ test tell me?” Read the 125 score guide or the full score overview.
The model is fixed
This is a theoretical normal-distribution reference, not an IQInsight norm sample or a clinical interpretation.
The model has mean 100 and standard deviation 15. Neither can be changed through the tools. The educational range reaches 160; the IQInsight assessment itself still estimates scores only from 55 to 145. It has not been calibrated against a representative population. These references do not diagnose a condition, predict job performance or establish admission eligibility. See our methodology and limitations.
Privacy and safe use
Only supply the numeric reference score. Do not include names, email addresses, private links, answers or payment details. The server has no database, payment or email bindings and cannot retrieve assessments, paid reports or the question bank. It does not save tool inputs or log request bodies, cookies or authorization headers.
Cloudflare processes network information to deliver and protect the endpoint. Requests are limited to 8 KiB and 120 per minute per network address at each Cloudflare location; shared networks may share that allowance. On HTTP 429, wait for the Retry-After interval. Browser requests from other origins are rejected. Server-side MCP clients do not need a browser Origin header.
Protocol example
For a 2025-compatible client, begin with this JSON-RPC body, sent as POST with Content-Type: application/json and Accept: application/json, text/event-stream.
{
"jsonrpc": "2.0",
"id": 1,
"method": "initialize",
"params": {
"protocolVersion": "2025-11-25",
"capabilities": {},
"clientInfo": {
"name": "your-client",
"version": "1.0.0"
}
}
}After initialization, send the initialized notification, then tools/list or tools/call. Unknown methods, extra tool parameters and unsupported score values are rejected. No purchase, report access or account operations are exposed.
